Susan Millard
Dr Millard is a member of the Bone and Immunology Research Group at Mater Research Institute-The University of Queensland (UQ). She completed a PhD in 2006 at University of Adelaide and subsequently undertook postdoctoral research in at UCSF before returning to Australia. Her interests have focused on the dynamic environment of bone and bone marrow. These interests have been furthered through the use of transgenic approaches to understand the influence of cellular signaling pathways in osteoblasts, investigations into cell therapies for treatment of bone disease, and a more recent emphasis on understanding myeloid cell contributions to bone regeneration, bone diseases, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
